Founded in 2019 by father-son team Charles and Drew Flynn, Coastal Land & Development has developed over 3000 lots across the Grand Strand, extending to greater South Carolina and the North Carolina lowcountry. Charles and Drew’s partnership dates back to 2016, combining their expertise in residential construction and quality land acquisition, with a focus on residential community development.
Charles “Drew” Flynn
Vice President
Drew graduated from College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate and Master of Business of Administration in Finance and General Business.
He worked as the Assistant Jobsite Manager for Sunbelt Homes of Myrtle Beach and successfully transitioned into the position of Vice President of Land Development for Sunbelt Land Group in August of 2016. Drew partnered with his father, Charles, in January of 2019 to start Coastal Land & Development.
As a Myrtle Beach local, Drew has superior knowledge of the area and the community needs. He has grown up golfing, surfing, boating, and fishing with his friends on the weekends and traveling in the off-season.
Charles Flynn

Charles grew up in Lexington, North Carolina but relocated to Myrtle Beach in 1974. Charles started Sunbelt Homes of Myrtle Beach in 1986 and successfully built a reputation as one of the top Residential Homebuilders in the Coastal Carolina region.
During his 34 years as President of Sunbelt Homes, Charles built over 1000 homes from the North Carolina Coast to the low country of South Carolina.
Charles partnered with his son Drew in 2019 to transition to land acquisition and development by co-founding Coastal Land & Development.
